Michael Caskey
Associate Attorney
Michael Caskey focuses his practice on business litigation, health care law, and construction law.
A graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Michael Caskey received his law degree in 2020 at the University of Tennessee College of Law where he graduated with High Honors.
In law school, Mr. Caskey served as Executive Editor for the Tennessee Law Review, and received the Silver Pen Award for Exemplary Casenote for his write-on submission to the Law Review.
During law school, Mr. Caskey also served as a law clerk for the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Eastern Section, in Knoxville.
Michael Caskey received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for earning the highest grade in his classes for Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure, and European Union Law. In January 2020, Mr. Caskey was awarded with the James R. and Nell W. Cunningham Award for Excellence in Legal Writing for a paper on personal jurisdiction in state and federal courts. Mr. Caskey served as is a research assistant and co-author for two articles published by the Tennessee Bar Journal on the legal effects of COVID-19.
In 2019, Mr. Caskey worked in the Advocacy Clinic at the University of Tennessee College of Law, representing indigent clients in court under a student license to practice law. During this time, he also assisted the Domestic Violence Clinic with an appeal to the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Appellate Clinic with research and writing for a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Caskey also spent a semester in residence working for the Office of the Tennessee Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Division.
Michael Caskey is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
