Reid Leitner, a native of Chattanooga, has practiced law in Nashville since 1993. Working primarily in insurance defense, Mr. Leitner has handled complex litigation in Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga, Jackson, Clarksville, Columbia, Cookeville, and many other towns and counties throughout Tennessee. Mr. Leitner's litigation practice focuses on specialties including health care law, construction defect, professional liability, commercial litigation, and product liability defense.
Mr. Leitner has substantial experience in trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts throughout Tennessee. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Tennessee, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Leitner also serves as outside general counsel to small and mid-size businesses.
Mr. Leitner is a member of the Nashville and the Tennessee Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, and the American Health Lawyers Association.
Mr. Leitner has a B.A. in English from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa), an M.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston (cum laude).
Prior to forming the firm, Mr. Leitner practiced as a partner for 15 ½ years with a state-wide Tennessee law firm.
Mr. Leitner is married, with two children, and as a hobby is an amateur cellist.
